Our Friday Lunchtime Concerts are held from 1:10 - 1:50pm every Friday. Entry is free and we accept donations in support of Music in Hospitals & Care Scotland. Our 2025-2026 LTC programme can be found below.

Evening Concerts
Tickets are available online or on the door (accepting cash and card). Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the start of each concert.
As this semester we are having our 150th anniversary, the ticketing will be running slightly differently. You can either purchase "All Access Passes" or individual tickets for events, both of which are available on our tickets page. Registration will also be required for several events to ensure that we don't exceed our maximum capacity so keep an eye out for that.

Marking the official opening of our 150th Anniversary Festival, St Andrews Music Society invites you to join them in raising a glass to the rich history of student music-making, in the home of music in St Andrews.

St Andrews Strings and Chamber Choir

Holy Trinity Church, St Andrews
Rejoin Chamber Choir and St Andrews Strings for their joint concert in Holy Trinity Church this semester!
The auditioned choir of 24 will take you on a journey from 1600 all the way to 2025, through a diverse selection of 7 pieces. From Latin, to Swahili, to Scandinavian lullabies, the choir will whisk you around the world.
Strings return with a repertoire spanning a range of time periods. Melodies and harmonies intertwine to take the audience on a musical journey across various continents, as well as music from more contemporary sources such as film and video games.

Enjoy an afternoon of engaging and uplifting music as the University of St Andrews Wind Band presents a program of pieces showcasing the variety of wind band performance. The concert features a mix of energetic selections, gentle pieces, and expressive melodies that highlight the unique sounds of woodwind, brass, and percussion.

The University of St Andrews Big Band returns for a bumper concert, filled with repertoire ranging from classic Basie swing to modern funk. The 20-piece group is made up of St Andrews's finest jazz musicians and front-manned by musical director, Ewan Riddell. This is sure to be a night of good music, great creative decisions, and downright outrageous improvising.

St Andrews Symphony Orchestra: Music Society 150th Closing Concert
14:30-16:30 (Doors open at 14:00)

As part of the Music Society's 150th Anniversary, St Andrews Symphony Orchestra will be putting on its second semester concert featuring Mahler's blockbuster first symphony and Ginastera's harp concerto. The harp concerto will be performed by the 2025 concerto competition winner, and one of the symphony orchestra's most talented members, Kory Buckingham.
