St Andrews Strings and Chamber Choir

19:30-21:00 (Doors open at 19:00)

McPherson Recital Room, Laidlaw Music Centre

“St Andrew’s Strings ensemble and Chamber Choir look forward to welcoming you to their autumn concert, where Strings will be bringing you a variety of music throughout the ages, showcasing romantic waltzes from Sibelius to modern Ghibli films as well as delving into a range of tones and melodies.

Chamber choir is an auditioned choral group that aims to showcase the great talent across St. Andrews. The music chosen highlights the range of that talent, giving opportunities to different voice parts and soloists through a variety of musical eras and genres. For example, you will hear music with the classic text of Ubi Caritas by Kim Andre Arnesen to the modern and incredibly relevant Earth Song by Frank Ticheli. We hope to use our love for choral music to instill musical knowledge and joy within our singers and audience.
